I was tasked with compiling important safety protocol and maintenance-related forms and combining them into one easy-to-understand handbook. This will allow future Highgate maintenance staff to be able to find necessary documents quickly without having to search for them.
Project Process:

Brainstormed information that needed to be compiled.

Consulted with my supervisor to assess his needs for the project.

Sought out the various locations of the required documents.

Print out digital documents on high-quality materials to create "masters"

Copy physical documents on high-quality materials to create more durable "masters"

Create any documents that had I was unable to locate or that did not yet exist. For this I used Excel. Again printing on high-quality materials to create "masters"

Compile all documents and organize them into categories i.e. safety protocol, maintenance protocol, and regularly used forms.

Organize the categories alphabetically for easy access.

Create a title page and table of contents for the book.

Consult with my supervisor a final time to verify all relevant documents are established.

Bind the materials and submit to my supervisor.
Project Objectives:​

Create and establish a physical location for all important maintenance and safety information.

Create and establish a physical location for all forms that need to be filled out on a regular basis.

Enable future maintenance employees to better understand both the work they should be doing daily/monthly/annually and what to do in emergency situations.

Project Outcomes:

Highgate Senior Living and specifically, the maintenance department, now has access to a manual containing protocols regarding resident safety, emergencies, natural disasters, etc, as well as documents relating to maintenance activities such as monthly maintenance checks, emergency light checks, and the maintenance budget.
